Our major shortfall in creating the Feedback pilot was moving from the storyboard to working on shots without first creating a crude animatic of the whole scene. We created two hand-drawn storyboards, but these were not sufficient to reveal flaws in continuity and the flow of the scene.

We edited using Adobe AfterEffects. This was a little cumbersome as it did not provide real-time playback facilities and, therefore, required frequent preview renders. We would also have benefited from a dedicated editor who could focus entirely on the flow of the scene, and also perform supportive tasks for the animators such as keeping the master animatic up to date at all times.

This is one of the sequence cuts in AfterEffects.
We rendered the composited shots into Quicktime animation and used these for the timing cut.
